Cancellation and Refund Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

How to cancel

To cancel a booking, email service@jthchina.com with your order number and the reason. The cancellation date is the date we receive your email.

If you cancel

Refunds are calculated on the total trip price and depend on how far in advance you cancel:

  • 30 days or more before the start date: full refund, less any bank or payment fees we cannot recover
  • 15 to 29 days before the start date: 70% refund
  • 7 to 14 days before the start date: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the start date, or no-show: no refund

If we cancel

If we have to cancel your trip for a reason within our control, you will receive a full refund of the amount you have paid to us.

Events beyond our control

If a trip cannot go ahead because of events beyond our reasonable control — such as natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, war, government restrictions or transport shutdowns — we will first offer to move your trip to another date. If that is not possible, we will refund what you paid, less any costs already paid to hotels, transport or other partners that cannot be recovered.

Non-refundable items

Some items may not be refundable once booked, for example international flights, visa fees and third-party bookings already paid on your behalf. Where this applies, we will tell you before we make the booking.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are returned in US dollars (USD) to the original payment method where possible, or by bank transfer. We aim to process refunds within 14 business days of confirming the cancellation. Bank fees and exchange rate differences are not refundable.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation, medical costs and personal belongings. Our refund policy does not replace insurance.
