Terms and Conditions

About these terms
These terms apply when you use www.jthchina.com and when you book travel with Journey Through China. By using the website or placing a booking, you accept these terms.
Using the website
You must be at least 18 years old to place a booking, or have a parent or guardian do it for you. You agree to give accurate information and not to misuse the website.
Enquiries and bookings
Submitting the booking or custom trip form is a request, not a confirmed booking. A contract is formed only when we confirm your itinerary and price in writing and you have paid the amount we ask for.
Prices and what is included
All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and are per person unless stated otherwise. Prices may change before your booking is confirmed.
Unless your confirmed itinerary says otherwise, prices include accommodation, the services of local guides, transport within China as described in the itinerary, and the activities listed.
Prices do not include international flights, visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional activities, tips, or anything not listed in the itinerary.
Payment
We currently accept payment by bank transfer or by a payment link or invoice we send you. A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your trip; the amount and due date will be stated in writing.
Any bank or transfer fees are the responsibility of the payer. Please send us the payment confirmation so we can match it to your booking.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Holding a valid passport and any visa required for travel to China
- Arranging your own travel insurance
- Arriving on time for flights, trains and meeting points
- Following local laws and the reasonable instructions of your guide
- Telling us in advance about any medical condition, dietary requirement or accessibility need
Changes and cancellation
If you want to change or cancel your trip, please tell us as early as you can. The rules and refund amounts are set out in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Changes by us
We may need to change an itinerary because of weather, traffic, closures, safety, or circumstances beyond our control. If a significant part of the trip cannot be provided, we will offer a reasonable alternative or a refund of the affected part.
Liability
We arrange travel services with care, but we are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, war, government action, or the acts of third-party providers.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Website content and intellectual property
The text, photographs and other content on this website belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse them commercially without our written consent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes will first be handled through good-faith discussion with us.
